Job Description

Overview Senior Motion Designer, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios. This role sits in an in-house AV creative team at the center of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios’ creative development. You will shape entertainment marketing by creating motion graphics and animations that elevate marketing campaigns, enhance brand storytelling, and captivate global audiences across Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios platforms. You will tell on-brand, forward-thinking visual stories that deliver on the strategic objectives of marketing and creative briefs, while ambitiously pushing the boundaries of new creative. You will collaborate with editors, designers, creative directors, strategists, post producers, and cross-functional partners. You will participate in regular AV team creative reviews and share technical expertise. This full-time role is required to work on-premise, not remotely. Key responsibilities Raise the bar creatively, delivering best-in-class motion design and animation that surprise and delight our global customers Develop and execute creative concepts for motion graphics that align with the Prime Video brand and Amazon Studios titles Insist on the highest standards, meeting and exceeding marketing objectives through compelling and innovative video creative Collaborate and brainstorm with editors, creative directors, producers, other designers and cross-functional partners to bring original content to life visually Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create high-quality motion graphics that meet project deadlines Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate our visual content Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to final delivery, ensuring all graphics meet the highest quality standards Review and provide feedback on motion graphics created by team members to maintain consistency and quality across all projects Work closely with the creative and production teams to ensure all graphics are delivered on time and within scope Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors to expand our creative capabilities as needed Continuously review and provide feedback and recommendations to improve the overall visual quality and style of our work Demonstrate an ability to parse marketing strategies and creative briefs and work with various teams to build solutions Grow versatility of animation skills to accommodate various project needs and tonal expressions Communicate strong pre-visualization skills including storyboarding, style frames, motion theory, and typography Contribute to a shared passion for visual storytelling and popular culture Day-in-the-life highlights Connect with the creative team to review campaign needs and align on priorities Brainstorm design concepts for Prime Video brand promos or interstitial cards for originals multi-title spots Create style frames and storyboards for stakeholder review Animate custom graphics for social media promotions Collaborate with editors on show package development for a teaser Present design concepts for campaigns to marketing teams and creative directors Optimize existing assets for different platform requirements Mentor editors developing motion design skills and provide technical guidance and creative direction Partner with editors, producers, and post-production managers to track deliverables and timelines About The Team This internal AV Creative Studio lives at the cross-section of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. We ideate, develop and execute bar-raising and evocative video creative that amplify our Amazon MGM Studios Originals and Prime Video’s identity and value proposition to drive brand love and customer awareness. Basic Qualifications 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team Bachelor\'s degree Experience leading creative development from concept to delivery Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, animation, and design expertise Preferred Qualifications Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to drive strategy and consumer insights for compelling creative Experience managing creative teams, including designers, copywriters, agencies, and freelancers Experience presenting creative concepts to senior executives Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
