Job Title:Research Associate Department:Academic Affairs Administration | Kirwan Institute

The research associate will work with the rest of the research team to conduct community-engaged research with Ohio State faculty and students as well as community partners at the local, state and federal level. This position analyzes administrative data across a variety of sectors, including but not limited to government, education, and healthcare to answer mutually agreed upon applied questions within the study of poverty, race and ethnicity.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors in a Related Social Science Field (such as economics, planning, political science, psychology, public policy, or sociology) or Equivalent Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in two or more research methodologies, including but not limited to quantitative statistical analysis, qualitative or interpretive analysis, or multi-method analysis
  • 1-3 years experience applying social science research designs to conduct applied research

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters Degree
  • Fluency in a second language other than English
Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $51,500 - $55,385 The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
