Parts & Inventory Coordinator - Entry Level
Tri-State Tree Service is seeking a tech-savvy Parts & Inventory Coordinator to modernize our equipment inventory systems and bring digital organization to our tree care operations.
JOB OVERVIEW
Perfect entry-level opportunity for someone with strong computer skills and mechanical interest. You'll manage parts inventory, coordinate repairs, and implement tracking systems. This role requires excellent digital organization skills, ability to learn fleet management software, and aptitude for understanding mechanical equipment. We'll train you on industry knowledge - we need your tech skills and fresh perspective.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Inventory Management
Master Fleetio fleet management software for parts tracking and work orders
Maintain digital inventory databases for all equipment
Generate reports, analyze usage trends, identify cost savings
Research parts online and compare vendor pricing
Implement QR code or barcode tracking systems
Equipment & Parts Control
Maintain parts inventory and order for scheduled services
Manage saw inventory - track repairs, tag equipment, coordinate service
Maintain chainsaw bars and chains inventory, including making chains
Oversee fleet key system with organized check-out procedures
Track climbing gear, PPE, and small tools inventory
Monitor stump grinder teeth and chipper blade usage
Control secured storage areas and implement accountability
Technical Coordination
Learn equipment specifications to order correct parts
Coordinate with mechanics on maintenance needs
Process warranty claims and track online
Schedule equipment inspections and maintain digital records
Pick up emergency parts and handle urgent supply runs
Call shops for pricing and availability on outsourced repairs
Systems Development
Maintain tracking systems for equipment and inventory
Enter and maintain vendor pricing data in Fleetio
Suggest improvements to existing procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
High school diploma or technical school
Strong computer skills - Excel proficiency required
Quick learner with mechanical aptitude
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Valid driver's license with clean record

Comfortable learning new software systems quickly
Interest in mechanical equipment and tools
Detail-oriented with ability to follow established procedures
Proactive in suggesting improvements to existing systems
