Job Description Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge Community College has been equipping students, alumni, and employees with the knowledge and experience to transform themselves, the community, and the world for over 55 years. Are you interested in sharing your knowledge and talent with students by helping them earn their CDL? Blue Ridge Community College is looking for a weekend trainer to expand its successful Commercial Driving School. This is a part-time position assisting with training commercial driving students to earn their Class A CDL and gain entry-level positions in the commercial driving industry. May assist with Class B instruction. Only 2 - 4 students per instructional session. Weekend courses are up to 12 weeks long with the potential for three, 12-week sessions per year with breaks between sessions. Full orientation and training is included for all new instructors. Drug testing and medical certification as required by DOT guidelines.

Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications - Class A CDL
- Knowledge of the commercial driving industry and DMV/DOT regulations
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
Additional Considerations Experience with training/instruction and transportation logistics.
