Job Title: Coffee Barista

Our in-store coffee bar is a key part of that experience, offering traditional Italian espresso drinks, pastries, and a taste of Italy in every cup.

Position Overview

The Coffee Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality espresso drinks, maintaining a clean and inviting café area, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of the Italian coffee culture, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, and other beverages following authentic Italian recipes.
• Provide warm, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Assist customers with product knowledge, such as Italian coffee beans, pastries, and some grocery items.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
• Keep the coffee bar area clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the POS system accurately.
• Track inventory and work with store manager on ordering.
• Support the overall store team with stocking, merchandising, and customer assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a barista or in food/beverage service preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of Italian coffee and culture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
